During the STS 88 space mission to build the International Space Station (ISS), American astronaut Jerry Ross accidentally dropped a metallic thermal insulation blanket during a spacewalk.
As the loose thermal cover floated away, it crumpled, reflected sunlight, and created weird shapes in photos. NASA cataloged this lost cover as space debris (Object 025570). Just a few days later, it fell into Earth atmosphere and completely burned up. The Black Knight Satellite is simply a classic mix of dropped space trash, misunderstood radio signals, and internet imagination not an alien visitor.
