A shocking paper leak plan has come to light in Maharashtra. The Thane City Police have filed a massive 3,500 page chargesheet in a Bhiwandi court, revealing how question papers for the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test TET were stolen. The crime was executed not by high tech hacking, but by hiding folded papers inside shoe insoles.
According to the police, the leak started at a printing press in Agra. Two press workers and a former employee folded all four sets of the official exam papers and stuffed them inside their shoes. While security guards frisked their clothes, nobody checked their footwear. The workers were allegedly paid just ₹8,000 each and promised small land plots for stealing the confidential material. The chargesheet names 18 accused people. Police have identified former coaching teacher Bijendra Gupta as the mastermind who ran this interstate racket. So far, 16 people have been arrested, while two key suspects remain on the run.
The scam was busted just one day before the exam. Police received a tip-off and caught three men trying to sell the leaked question papers in Bhiwandi. Officers used decoy buyers to trap the gang and seized the leaked sets. This major investigation has exposed serious security gaps in the state exam printing system.
