Google CEO Sundar Pichai has joined the World Photography Day celebrations by sharing a series of photos taken with the company new Pixel 11 smartphone. Pichai shared six images on his official Instagram account, showing the camera capabilities of Google latest phone.

The photos include a black and white picture of a dog, colourful flowers, a bee, a blue whale and a building. The images were taken by Google employees and the Pixel team using the new Pixel 11. The smartphone officially went on sale on August 20, 2026, after being launched earlier this month.

The Pixel 11 series comes with upgraded camera hardware and Google latest Tensor G6 processor. The company has also added more AI based photography features to improve photos in different conditions. One of the major features is Instant Night Sight, which helps users take low light and night photos faster. Google says the new system can make night photography up to 4.5 times faster than before.

Another feature, called Magic Capture, uses many frames from a photo sequence to create a clearer picture, especially when the subject is moving. The phone also offers different camera styles that allow users to change the look and feel of their photos. Pichai post has also highlighted Google focus on smartphone photography as the Pixel 11 enters the Indian market. The new phone is expected to compete strongly in India premium smartphone segment.
