The biggest reason behind this massive wipeout is YouTube new safety policy against artificial intelligence (AI) and automated bots. YouTube CEO, Neal Mohan, announced that the platform is clearing out "AI slop" low quality, repetitive videos made completely by AI tools without real human effort. In its first major purge, YouTube removed dozens of popular channels that had millions of followers and billions of total views.

While YouTube works to fix false automated bans, creators are advised to make original content with clear human input to keep their channels safe. Never impersonate voices without permission, avoid spammy metadata, and save raw project files to easily appeal accidental automated bans.
