Tech giant Meta Platforms has launched a powerful new artificial intelligence assistant named Muse, creating huge excitement across global financial markets. Released on September 8 for smartphone users in the US and Canada, Muse can automatically perform various everyday tasks. It writes emails, books travel plans, and even completes online transactions like selling cars on behalf of users.
The app is achieving record breaking popularity among consumers. In its first 12 days, Muse recorded 2.8 million total downloads. On similar launch comparison metrics, Muse achieved 1.8 million downloads compared to 1.3 million for OpenAIs ChatGPT during its first 12 days. Analysts from J.P. Morgan believe Muse could become the most widely used consumer AI application since ChatGPT because it handles complex multi step tasks easily.
While basic usage is completely free, heavier users can buy monthly subscription plans priced at $20 or $100. Brokerage firm Jefferies estimates that if Muse reaches 1 billion users by 2027 with just 3% paying subscribers, it could generate $10.8 billion in annualized revenue for Meta.
This rapid success has sparked a major stock market rally on Wall Street. Meta shares surged over 20%, adding more than $200 billion to its overall market value. Before this launch, many investors were doubtful about Metas consumer AI strategy. Currently, 57 out of 64 major financial brokerages strongly recommend buying Meta stock.
