In our GenZ generation, one thing that is very commonly discussed is our love language. But do you actually know what love language means and what it signifies about your inner state. Love language is actually the way you like to be loved by other people, or how you prefer to express your love to your loved ones. There are two popular reasons behind your love language. One is that there may be an unhealed part of you that craved that particular thing in your childhood but never received it. And the other is that sometimes people express love in a certain way because they want other people to love them in the same way.

Let see what your love language might say about you. If you are someone who likes words of affirmation, there are chances that you might have craved appreciation in your childhood. Maybe people rarely told you, “I'm proud of you,” and because of that, now you seek reassurance and validation in your relationships.Quality time is a love language that people may subconsciously choose when they have felt emotionally ignored at some point. Maybe what they have always wanted was simply someone's undivided attention the feeling that, for once, someone is choosing to be there with

People who prefer acts of service as their love language are often the kind of people who want proof of your love through your actions. Or maybe they are the ones who show their love through actions because expressing it through words is difficult for them.Wanting gifts is one of the most misunderstood love languages. People often think that if you express love by giving gifts or like receiving gifts, it means you are materialistic. But actually, it is not always about the gift itself. Sometimes, it is about the feeling that someone actually thought about you, remembered you, and chose something specifically for you.

Now comes the most beautiful but also the most misunderstood love language physical touch. The moment you tell someone that your love language is physical touch, they may start questioning you or judging you. But in reality, for some people, physical touch is simply a way of feeling emotionally connected. People who deeply value it may have experienced emotional distance in their relationships at some point, and physical affection can now give them a sense of safety, trust, and reassurance.

The way we want to be loved can tell us a little about what we have been missing, what makes us feel safe, and what we secretly need from the people we love. Maybe understanding your love language isn't about finding your trauma, maybe it's about understanding yourself a little better.
