German luxury carmaker BMW has introduced its newest luxury electric sedan in India, the BMW i5 Long Wheelbase LWB. Priced attractively at an ex showroom tag of 79.60 lakh, this launch aims to capture luxury car buyers who love executive backseat comfort without producing any tailpipe emissions. The extended wheelbase gives the sedan a bolder road presence while offering massive legroom for rear passengers.

Under the skin, the i5 LWB is equipped with an efficient 81.6 kWh battery pack paired with a smooth rear wheel drive electric motor producing 268 bhp. This setup allows the luxury electric sedan to deliver quick acceleration and a dependable driving range that easily handles daily city commutes and long inter city highway drives. Ultra fast DC charging capability also ensures that the battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes at public charging stations.
