In a major boost for the Indian IT industry, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a huge five-year deal worth €1.25 billion (about $1.5 billion) with luxury German sports car maker Porsche. This massive partnership aims to bring advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology into Porsches global operations.

Under this historic agreement, TCS will help Porsche build next generation automotive tech and software driven cars. To power this digital transformation, TCS will establish a dedicated, AI Mobility Centre of Excellence. This new hub will integrate smart AI solutions across Porsches engineering, manufacturing, business operations, and customer service teams.

As part of the overall transaction, TCS will also acquire 100 percent of MHP Management - und IT- Beratung GmbH, which is Porsches Germany based IT and management consulting arm. TCS is buying the firm in an all cash deal valued at €320 million (around $373 million). Porsche CEO Michael Leiters shared that selling MHP allows the carmaker to focus fully on its core business of making world class sports cars while partnering with a global tech leader. Meanwhile, TCS gets a strong footprint in Europes growing automotive tech market.

The complete transaction is currently awaiting regulatory approvals and is expected to close within the next three to four months. This landmark agreement highlights how Indian IT leaders are guiding global mega brands into the AI future.
