The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially released the recruitment advertisement under the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs XV). This massive national recruitment initiative aims to fill over 13,000 vacancies across 43 participating Gramin Banks situated throughout India. The recruitment drive is organized for four distinct post levels, including Office Assistant (Multipurpose), Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager), Officer Scale-II (Manager), and Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager).

Educational Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

Educational prerequisites strictly require candidates to hold a valid Bachelor Degree from a recognized university. Candidates who have only completed 10th or 12th grade are not eligible to submit applications.

For the entry-level posts of Office Assistant (Clerk) and Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager), fresh graduates from any academic discipline are eligible to apply without any mandatory prior work experience. Additionally, candidates applying for the Office Assistant role must possess proficiency in the official local language of the specific state or Union Territory from which they choose to submit their application.

For specialized positions under Officer Scale-II, candidates must hold specialized graduate or post-graduate degrees in disciplines such as Information Technology, Law, Finance, Chartered Accountancy, Marketing, or Agriculture, along with relevant work experience ranging from one to two years in financial institutions. The Officer Scale-III position requires a general graduation degree with a minimum aggregate score of 50 percent, alongside a minimum of five years of experience serving as an officer in a bank or financial institution.

Age Limits and Relaxations

Age parameters vary according to the post applied for. For Office Assistants, the eligible age range is 18 to 28 years. For Officer Scale-I, candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old. Officer Scale-II applicants must fall within the age range of 21 to 32 years, while Officer Scale-III candidates can apply up to 40 years of age. Government mandated upper age relaxations are applicable, providing a 5-year extension for SC/ST candidates and a 3-year extension for OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates.

Selection Process and Exam Structure

Selection is entirely performance-based through a structured competitive examination framework. For the Office Assistant post, candidates must clear a Preliminary Online Examination consisting of Reasoning and Numerical Ability, followed by a Main Examination covering Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, Language (English or Hindi), and Numerical Ability. There is no interview stage for Office Assistants, and the final merit list is generated exclusively from the Main Examination scores.

For Officer Scale-I, candidates undergo a three-tier selection procedure comprising Preliminary Online Examination, Main Online Examination, and a Personal Interview. For Officer Scale-II and Officer Scale-III positions, candidates undergo a single-level online objective examination that assesses core professional and financial knowledge, followed directly by a Personal Interview.
