Japanese car maker Mitsubishi has officially launched the brand new fifth generation Pajero SUV. After being discontinued in 2021, the iconic off-road SUV makes a grand return to the international market with a bold design, high end technology, and strong performance.
The new Pajero retains its famous boxy and tall shape, giving it a powerful road presence. The front features a large honeycomb grille, sharp T-shaped LED headlights, and an aggressive bumper. It sits on big 20 inch alloy wheels and offers 230mm of high ground clearance to easily handle tough roads. Under the bonnet, the new SUV is powered by a strong 2.4 litre diesel engine paired with an 8 speed automatic gearbox. It gets a advanced 4 wheel drive (4WD) system with seven different driving modes to tackle mud, sand, snow, and rocks smoothly.
Inside, the cabin offers a luxury feel with twin 14.3 inch screens for the digital driver display and touchscreen infotainment system. Extra features include ventilated front seats, a 12-speaker Yamaha audio system, a 360 degree camera, and 8 airbags for safety. Sales will begin first in Thailand, followed by Japan, Australia, and other global markets. Car lovers who remember the Pajero legendary image in India are eagerly waiting to see if it makes its way back to Indian shores.
