WhatsApp has just announced some massive updates that will make using the app much easier for millions of Indians! Very soon, you will be able to make calls directly from your computer browser and easily fix typing mistakes on your daily status updates.
The biggest news is the launch of Web Calling. Until now, if you wanted to make a voice or video call from your laptop, you had to download the official WhatsApp desktop app. Now, you can simply open WhatsApp Web on your regular browser (like Chrome or Edge) and start calling. This is completely free and works for both personal and group calls. It is a highly useful feature for students or office workers who cannot download extra software on their shared computers.
The company also introduced a clever Call Transfer tool. If you are talking on a group call on your mobile phone but want to switch to your laptop's bigger screen, you can now transfer the call instantly without hanging up.
Another brilliant feature rolling out is Status Caption Editing. Have you ever posted a nice photo on your WhatsApp status, only to realize you made a spelling mistake in the text? Earlier, you had to delete the entire status and upload it again. Now, WhatsApp gives you a 15-minute window to simply edit the caption. Viewers will not even see an "edited" label! This handy feature is currently available for select Android beta users and will reach everyone's phone very soon. Make sure to keep your WhatsApp updated on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to enjoy these smart new tools.
