US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to visit India from October 17 to 22 for a high profile official trip centered on strengthening energy ties and economic partnership between the two nations. Official sources confirm that Rubio will travel to Mumbai and Jamnagar during his India visit.

During the visit, Rubio will hold key meetings with senior government leadership and top Indian industrialists to boost commercial investment, trade, and strategic cooperation. The upcoming discussions will focus on expanding opportunities in crude oil processing, clean energy production, and green technology.

The planned stop in Jamnagar holds huge importance, as the Gujarat city houses the worlds largest single site oil refining complex. Analysts say this portion of the visit highlights growing global focus on refining infrastructure and energy supply chains.

This will mark Rubio second trip to India this year after his previous visit in May. Experts believe these high level exchanges will further deepen economic and diplomatic bonds between Washington and New Delhi while promoting shared energy security goals.
