Gor mentioned that if President Trump were asked to choose one leader to meet out of thirty five attending dignitaries, Prime Minister Modi would sit right at the top of that list. He added that the visit is expected to extend far beyond standard multilateral group discussions due to their strong mutual trust.
The ambassador also discussed the ongoing economic momentum, revealing that a major bilateral trade deal is very close to finalization despite recent legal adjustments. He praised India under Prime Minister Modi for providing strong political and economic stability, making the country an attractive and reliable destination for foreign investments.
Highlighting defense and technological cooperation, Gor described India as a trusted defense partner involved in vital projects like Apache helicopter supplies and joint military drills.
