Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi led a massive protest march through the streets of national capital Delhi. Thousands of political workers, student leaders, and citizens joined the rally, carrying national flags and shouting slogans to protect democratic rights. The large gathering disrupted traffic across several key road stretches in central Delhi as security personnel put up heavy barricades to manage the crowd.
The public protest was organized against alleged voter list irregularities and demands regarding the election administration. Addressing the energetic gathering, Rahul Gandhi stated that the fight was essential to save the Constitution and ensure completely fair elections for every citizen. He strongly criticized the current government and called for immediate accountability from election officials.
Following the street demonstration, Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by top opposition leaders, directly visited the Supreme Court of India. At the apex court, the delegation filed a formal petition demanding a complete halt to the voter list revision process and seeking the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged electoral malpractices. While security forces strictly controlled the area near the Supreme Court premises, opposition leaders pledged to continue their agitation peacefully until the court hears their urgent plea and delivers a clear verdict on the ongoing controversy.
