A massive uproar erupted at Mathura BSA College on Saturday afternoon around 2:30 pm following serious allegations of student harassment. According to the victim, a male student forcibly asked for her phone number inside the campus. When she refused, he harassed and threatened her. Angered by the incident, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) workers reached the campus and staged a fiery protest. Slogans echoed as workers demanded the immediate arrest of the accused, leading to a heavy traffic jam on BSA College Road. Minor chaos was reported during the agitation, including the alleged mistreatment of a local bus driver. Police quickly arrived on the scene, pacified the protesters, and restored normal traffic movement.
An FIR has been registered against the main named suspect and four unidentified individuals. While the accused was claimed to be associated with NSUI, NSUI District President Harsh Chaurasia dismissed the link as completely baseless. He clarified that the individual was removed from his post in August for indiscipline and fully expelled from the organization last Tuesday. He assured that NSUI stands with the college administration and students. CO City Aashna Chaudhary confirmed that police have registered the FIR and launched an investigation. Strict action will follow based on the findings.
