In a major breakthrough for anti terror operations security forces busted a secret natural cave hideout used by terrorists in the Kasblari area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir. Following specific intelligence inputs a joint search operation was launched in the dense forest terrain leading to the discovery of a concealed underground stash.

During the search troops recovered six improvised explosive devices (IEDs) along with a machine gun magazine a combat pouch power adapters and a tiffin box intended to fabricate explosives. Senior officers stated that terrorists are increasingly relying on isolated forest caves as natural shelter because local residents have stopped offering them support. These natural structures allow insurgents to hide weapons and plan attacks while evading security surveillance.

The timely recovery of these dangerous explosive devices has averted a potential major attack in the region. Security forces have intensified ongoing search operations across the surrounding forest areas to dismantle remaining terror networks and ensure local safety.
