ANAHEIM, California Disney kicked off its mega fan event, D23 2026, with a spectacular bang at the packed Honda Center. The highly anticipated two hour Disney Entertainment Showcase delivered an overload of big announcements, first look trailers, and superstar appearances. Movie and TV fans across the globe are already celebrating the massive updates shared across Disney biggest entertainment franchises.
The biggest cheer of the night belonged to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. Marvel finally ended months of rumors by revealing the main cast for the upcoming X Men reboot. Fans went wild as the new stars took the stage together for the very first time. Additionally, Marvel dropped an intense teaser for Avengers Doomsday showing Doctor Doom army of Sentinels, alongside a brand-new trailer for Vision Quest featuring James Spader returning as Ultron.
Lucasfilm also stole the spotlight by debuting the first trailer for Star Wars Starfighter. Hollywood star Ryan Gosling made a grand entry on stage to confirm his lead role as pilot Kade Auberon in the high octane space adventure hitting theaters in May 2027.
Animation fans received plenty of magic as well. Walt Disney Animation Studios shared exclusive early footage from Frozen 3, teasing a mysterious new villain and a funny storyline for Olaf. Gaming fans got a massive surprise when Disney announced an official Kingdom Hearts anime series coming directly to Disney+, along with a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts
With massive stars, surprise trailer drops, and release dates revealed for the next two years, the D23 2026 Entertainment Showcase proved once again that Disney dominates the global entertainment universe.
