Indian technology company HCLTech has reported strong quarterly results as artificial intelligence becomes an important part of its business strategy. The company reported a net profit of Rs 5132 crore for the second quarter of the financial year 2027, marking a rise of around 21 percent compared with the same period last year. Its revenue also increased by 11 percent to Rs 35620 crore. The results come at a time when technology companies are adapting their services to meet the growing demand for artificial intelligence.
HCLTech has also announced a global partnership with AI company Anthropic to expand the use of advanced AI systems in businesses. The partnership will focus on agentic AI, which allows AI systems to perform tasks with limited human input. The company plans to create a dedicated business unit and a centre of excellence to help businesses adopt these systems safely.
The partnership will also bring Anthropic AI technology into selected HCLSoftware products. These include HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan, which support IT management and application security. HCLTech also plans to integrate Claude and Claude Code into its AIForce platform to support software development, IT support and other business operations. Security measures and human supervision will remain important when these systems handle sensitive tasks.
The latest results and partnership highlight how Indian IT companies are responding to the growth of artificial intelligence. Businesses are looking for ways to improve productivity and automate complex work. However, long term success will depend on customer demand, reliable technology and safe implementation. HCLTech performance will therefore remain important to watch as companies continue investing in AI based services.
