In a major development in the technology world, Jeff Dean, Google longtime Chief Scientist, has officially left the tech giant after 27 years. The legendary computer scientist has co-founded a brand-new artificial intelligence company named Discovery Loop and is already in early talks to raise $1 billion in funding at a staggering $10 billion valuation (roughly ₹83,000 crore).

Jeff Dean, widely regarded as one of the key brains behind Google core machine learning systems, announced his exit to start this new journey alongside other former Google researchers. Discovery Loop is established as a public benefit corporation aiming to automate scientific discovery, engineering tasks, and complex experiments using advanced AI models.

Investors are showing massive interest in the venture. Early reports indicate that major venture capital firms, along with Google parent company Alphabet, are backing the project. While Alphabet is losing a top scientist, it will remain closely connected to Discovery Loop through cloud computing partnerships and strategic funding.

Rather than building standard AI chatbots, Discovery Loop plans to focus on automated research that can speed up major breakthroughs in medicine, computer chip design, and new materials. If the $10 billion deal is finalized, it will instantly become one of the most valuable AI startups in the world.
