The long awaited horror nightmare is finally becoming a reality for gamers across the globe. Epic Games has officially confirmed that the mega hit franchise, Five Nights at Freddy (FNAF), is crossing over with Fortnite as part of the annual Fortnitemares 2026 event. This massive crossover update drops on October 1, 2026, bringing a terrifying mix of fresh gameplay, iconic characters, and spooky cosmetics directly to the battle royale island.
The Item Shop will showcase iconic animatronic skins, Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. Each character features a battle damaged "Withered" alternate style that breaks apart dynamically during intense firefights. Alongside these outfits, players can unlock Chica legendary Mr. Cupcake Back Bling, Fazbear branded Kicks, custom pickaxes, and creepy jumpscare emotes. Fans of the franchise can also enjoy "Five Nights at Freddy's" by The Living Tombstone, which arrives as an official lobby Jam Track.
Beyond the cosmetics, a brand new "Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria", location will spawn on the map, complete with active security camera feeds and dark hallways. Players can complete night shift survival quests, earn Faz Tokens, and battle AI animatronic bosses. Defeating these bosses grants mythic weapons and lets players temporarily transform into an animatronic monster to hunt down rival squads.
