Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged member countries to stand on the right side of history and play a pioneering role in ending ongoing conflicts. Speaking at the high profile BRICS summit hosted by India in New Delhi, the top Chinese leader offered Beijing assistance alongside member nations to mediate and help resolve the rising tensions in West Asia.
Addressing global leaders at the Bharat Mandapam venue, Xi Jinping stated that the continuing war in the Middle East has caused massive economic losses and serious suffering to ordinary citizens across the region. He emphasized that the protracted military clashes do not serve the common interests of the international community. The Chinese President stressed that the expanded alliance must step up to promote peace, stability, and diplomatic dialogue on global platforms.
This strong diplomatic statement comes at a crucial moment when the summit adopted the landmark New Delhi Declaration, which strongly supports peaceful negotiations and conflict prevention methods. China, which is set to assume the rotating BRICS presidency next year, expressed full commitment to working closely with India, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, and newly joined partner countries to push for long term stability.
