A viral social media campaign promising a major secret revelation on August 25 has left lakhs of online users angry and disappointed. An Instagram account named 25 August 2026 gained massive popularity by posting mysterious countdown reels featuring a masked man. The creator promised a life changing video reveal, warning viewers that they would regret missing it.
When the promised date arrived, the creator asked followers to click a Telegram channel link, claiming Meta would delete the video from Instagram. To unlock the exclusive video on Telegram, users were asked to pay around ₹500. Driven by curiosity and fear of missing out, around 1.66 lakh people reportedly paid the amount, leading to an estimated collection of nearly ₹8.5 crore.
However, after paying the fee and waiting through a long countdown, users received a major shock. Instead of an explosive secret, the final content turned out to be just a basic AI generated motivational video advising people not to waste their valuable time.
The internet is now bursting with angry posts, with many calling it a massive digital scam while others describe it as a viral marketing trick. Although official sources have not independently verified the exact earnings, this trending incident is a big warning for everyone to stay alert against online hype and fake promises.
