Price rising, but nothing changing under the skin. Triumph Motorcycles India has bumped up the ex‑showroom price for the Triumph Scrambler 400 X to ₹ 2,67,731. That marks a ₹ 1,731 increase over the previous tag. No tweaks to engine, frame, suspension, brakes, or styling accompany that uptick.

Under the hood remains a 398 cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine delivering 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. Paired with a six‑speed gearbox featuring slip and assist clutch. Suspension consists of a 43 mm upside down fork with 150 mm travel up front, and a preload adjustable mono shock at the rear. Wire‑spoke wheels 19 inches front and 17 inches rear come clad in dual purpose tyres. Braking is handled by a 300 mm front disc and 230 mm rear. Backed by dual channel ABS, with rear ABS switch‑off capability for off‑road traction.

Colour palette stays the same, including Matt Khaki Green with Fusion White. Volcano Red with Phantom Black, Pearl Metallic White with Phantom Black, and Phantom Black with Silver Ice.

Beyond the Price Tag

Triumph has unveiled its first affordable cafe racer, Thruxton 400, priced separately. That launch coincides with this price revision for the Triumph Scrambler 400 X.

This price shift skips any mechanical or visual upgrades. For riders weighing their options in the mid‑capacity segment, the Scrambler 400 X remains unchanged in performance and styling simply costlier now. Whether value holds depends on what matters more, character or comfort on the wallet.
