Hero Vida has introduced a new 3.4 kWh battery version of its Vida VX2 Go electric scooter in India, priced at ₹1.02 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant slots between the existing 2.2 kWh version. Which starts at around ₹85,000, and the Vida VX2 Plus, which begins at approximately ₹1.10 lakh. Its dual removable battery system pushes the real-world range to about 100 km, up from roughly 64 km in the smaller battery model. A 6 kW unit delivering 26 Nm of torque. With top speed pegged at 70 km/h and two ride modes on offer Eco and Ride. Buyers can still choose a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option. Which reduces the upfront cost to roughly ₹60,000 with a monthly subscription for the battery.

What this really means is Hero Vida is offering a stronger value proposition. For those who want more range without stepping up to the higher priced Plus variant. The increased battery capacity means fewer range-anxiety moments while keeping motor performance and top speed constant. The BaaS option adds flexibility for budget-conscious buyers.

This move signals increasing focus on the mid-range electric scooter market in India. Where affordability, range and subscription models are becoming key purchase drivers. With this launch, Hero Vida is positioning the Vida VX2 Go to appeal to urban commuters who need realistic range at a competitive price. In short the 3.4 kWh Vida VX2 Go gives you a compelling mix. Higher capacity battery, familiar motor specs, flexible ownership model and smart pricing. It will be interesting to see how the market responds and how competitors react to the stronger offering in this segment.
