Tata Motors has officially started production of the much-anticipated Harrier EV at its Pune manufacturing facility. The automaker confirmed that deliveries will begin later this month, following strong customer interest and a robust booking response since the launch. With this rollout, Tata continues to strengthen its electric vehicle portfolio and reaffirm its leadership in the Indian EV market.
Powertrain, Variants, and Pricing
Built on Tata’s advanced ACTi.ev+ architecture, the Harrier. EV is available in two drivetrain options: Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD). The electric SUV comes in four variants Adventure, Adventure S, Fearless+, and Empowered. Tata has also introduced a special Stealth Edition featuring an all-black theme inside and out. The pricing starts at ₹21.49 lakh and goes up to ₹30.23 lakh, depending on the chosen variant and powertrain.
Range, Performance, and Charging
Tata offers two battery packs with the Harrier: a 65 kWh pack for the RWD variants and a larger 75 kWh pack for the dual-motor AWD versions. The top-spec models generate 309 BHP and 504 Nm of torque. Enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. The vehicle boasts a MIDC-certified range of 627 km, translating to an estimated real-world range of around 480–505 km. Using a 120 kW DC fast charger, the Harrier.EV charges from 20% to 80% in just 25 minutes, while a 7.2 kW home charger takes approximately 10.7 hours for a full charge.
Tech-Loaded Cabin and Safety Features
Inside, the Harrier. EV impresses with a 14.5-inch Harman Neo QLED infotainment screen, Dolby Atmos sound via 10 JBL speakers, and a 540° camera system. The SUV also offers Level 2 ADAS, six terrain modes, seven airbags, and Tata’s Ultra Glide suspension system. It recently secured top scores in Bharat NCAP crash tests, further boosting its appeal as a safe and tech-savvy electric SUV.
With production now underway, Tata Motors is gearing up to deliver the Harrier EV to customers across India. The combination of premium features, performance. And sustainability positions the electric SUV as a major contender in the growing EV segment.
