The ‘Kaanta Laga girl’, Shefali Jariwala, is no more. The actor and model, who became one of the most loved icons of the 2000s. Charismatic presence with dancing skills to match, died on Friday at 42 in Mumbai. Shefali Jariwala passed away on June 27. Her husband Parag Tyagi was spotted taking their dog, Simba, for a walk shortly after the tragedy, sparking mixed reactions online.

Preliminary reports had indicated that she had died of a heart attack, but Mumbai Police said that she was found dead at her home in Andheri and that her body had been sent for a postmortem examination at Cooper Hospital. The specific cause is still under verification.

The postmortem of Shefali Jariwala, who was an actor and a model, whose body has been sent for autopsy, is awaited, the Mumbai Police said on Saturday. ‘Kaanta Laga’ popular actor was earlier reported to have died due to a cardiac arrest.

A video, in which he could be seen walking outside their Mumbai house, interestingly while holding a photo of Shefali, has gone viral.

But the video was met with a wave of criticism as well. A section of the netizens wondered how Parag was so composed or how he walked out so early after her demise. One comment read, “He is doing well …he doesn’t care at all,” indicating doubt about the remaining emotional response. Shefali Jariwala got married to Parag Tyagi in 2015.
